Saebren, Treherbert
Saebren is a modern centrally heated building situated in Treherbert. It has ten self contained studio apartments which are available to rent by single persons over the age of 55. Saebren is not a residential home and residents live independently in their own flat, with access to a communal lounge/dining room, launderette and gardens. Lunch and tea are provided for residents 7 days a week and each room has a kitchenette which houses a food storage area, fridge, kettle, crockery, and microwave. There is a Resident Scheme Manager who provides support to the residents Monday to Friday and a cook is on site 7 days a week. The scheme manager organises social activities for residents and provides support to access relevant services in the local community. The scheme also has a community alarm system which provides cover when the Scheme Manager is not working All of Hafod Care's support staff have received extensive training and are subject to enhanced CRB disclosure. Applications for support can be made directly to Hafod Care.
There is a referral process that involves filling out an application form. An assessment visit is made to find out your support needs. A risk assessment is then completed.
