Holmes Street, Barry
The project provides accommodation with support for 5 people who have experienced mental ill health.
About the Project
The Holmes Street house is situated in the Cadoxton area of Barry. Cadoxton is an established multi-cultural community that contains may local facilities such as a surgery, a Post Office and a variety of shops. Public transport is easily accessible.
Tenants at Holmes Street are encouraged to take a full and active part in the local community. Each tenant will have an individual support plan. This will be negotiated with the support staff. Prospective tenants should be aware that they would be expected to fully participate in the activities agreed in their support plan.
Staff
All of Hafod Care's support staff have received extensive training. The staff team are supervised by a Team Leader who is based locally.
Move On
Holmes Street is not intended to provide a 'home for life'. There is an expectation that tenants will move on to more independent accommodation when they are able.
