There is no doubt, people prefer to be in their own homes with their personal belongings around them, they need to feel safe and secure in their, and more often than not, it is in the best interest of the person to be familiar with their surroundings.

Hafod Care fully understand the needs of both the service user and their relatives, we show empathy and therefore aim to provide a service that meets everyone's needs and expectations. We have a highly trained and experienced work force that both service users and or their relatives can trust.

Everyone is important to us, and that is why Hafod Care has achieved in providing a reliable and responsive service to meet unforeseen emergencies that may occur, we aim to prevent administration in to hospital, aid a quick and responsive service to enable hospital discharge and we honestly believe this aids the recovery of the service user and reduces the anxieties of the relative.

What we do:

Companionship - Low confidence levels and feelings of loneliness or isolation are quite common following events such as illness or bereavement. The companionship of one of our care staff can help speed recovery and help and individual to become re-established in their local community.

Personal Care - assistance with all aspects of personal care needs: Washing showering or bathing, dressing and grooming, getting up and going to bed,  toileting and continence management, assistance with meal preperation, Assistance with administration of medication where appropriate.

Domestic Help - Housework, laundry, shopping.

Social Care - Assistance with all aspects of community integration if required. To include assistance with the relearning of Community skills that may be required following a long period of hospitalisation. Activities such as eating out, using public transport or familiarisation with local facilities are examples.

Night Sitting - This service is particularly useful to provide respite for carers or to allow an individual to be discharged from hospital at the proper time.

Escort duties - Provision of qualified staff to escort and assist you whilst out of your home to ensure your safety.

Hafod Care assessment team will visit you free of charge to discuss what type of service you require, we will help you consider methods of payment. They will discuss the time scales required to carryout the specified service and we will endeavour to answer any queries you may have about the service we are offering.

Continuity is a priority for the service user and their relative, we strive to offer continuity at all times, however, during holiday period and staff sickness we work very closely with the service user and staff members to introduce new care staff making the service as comfortable as possible for all concerned.
